    I had mixed feelings about Phil and Grant. I knew Phil wouldn't be kept, nor would he have stayed on as an assistant. But I felt that we could have held on to Grant as an assistant without having a Stansbury hangover effect. I may have been naive to have thought that, but I really liked Grant.

    I really do wish those two the best of luck. And I hope we can mend those two relationships with MSU over time.

    I wish we had kept Grant, too, Cadaver. Word was he was a solid coach and recruiter. He'd have been a hell of a lot better than Mark White or whoever the hell he is. Hopefully he turns into a hell of a coach and we can bring him back at some point.

    I actually knew Marcus Grant while he was playing at State. Great guy, I like him. My claim to basketball fame is getting a steal from him in the old tin gym. I know, its lame.
