    Did OLe Miss have a better defense last year?

    Their statistics don't look that great this year. I think they are somewhere in the 60'sth in total defense.

    Much better last year. They gave up 37 points and more than 500 yards to a Bama team that's struggling on offense. Imagine if Bama had not turned it over 5 times. They mighta scored 60.

    Yeah. I've said the same thing on here and have heard of how much he helped in making adjustments. I was interested to see if they dropped back to Dave's avg's that he has put up normally even with their talent. I thought they would slip back some possibly because of Allen and if Golson's INT number was an outlier and effected their overall numbers. From the end of last year through the beginning of this, they have been allowing teams, for the most part, score their season avg on offense. Even Saturday, Vandy still was right at their average and missed some points. Will be interesting to see how it plays out over the season.
