Brent Rooker promoted to the Cape

That's 9 players in the Cape for us including Gavin Collins who had to sit out while recovering.

You can say bad things about Cohen but he's right on Rooker. Cohen threw him out there last year and hit him cleanup. His potential was there and now we see it. His first hit in the Cape was a triple.

Rooker has obviously made the transition to high level D1 hitting this summer. It's usually a mental thing plus getting used to seeing fastballs at higher velos that tail and breaking balls with more bite. You have to experience it in real games under pressure...no way to simulate it in the cage. Gordon, Reynolds, Holland have experienced the same thing. You can't sit and get better in the game of baseball. You have to get lots of ABs by playing in games and beyond that you have to learn the mental side of hitting. Summer ball is very important to player development.
