Top Picks in Big 3 from your town/HS
I'm going to brag a bit - fellow Marietta Blue Devil Dansby Swanson was the #1 pick tonight. This is a huge deal for the program, which has to play against some unreal competition every year. When I was the SS for MHS, we toiled in mediocrity, and rarely had anyone play after HS. So big night for those living west of the Big Chicken.
It got me to thinking - who are the top draft picks in the big 3 from my school?
Marietta High School
Baseball: Dansby Swanson, #1 Diamondbacks
Football: Eric Zeier, 3rd round, Browns
Basketball: Dale Ellis, 9th overall, Mavericks
To connect it to MSU - I'll go local-
Brunswick (BHS & Glynn Academy)
Baseball: Adam Wainwright, 1st round, Braves
Football: Darius Slay, 2nd round, Lions
Basketball: Kwame Brown, #1 overall, Wizards
So, who yall got???

Are we counting if they went to college in our hometown?
Edit:
Baseball: Ed Easley
Football: Stephen Gostkowski(if we're counting having attended college here),
Basketball:Penny Hardaway

Being from Kosciusko, can I claim Roy Oswalt? In football, Marc Woodard representin'. In basketball we suck pretty bad, might have to claim one of those Durant boys from back in the day.

Marcus Dupree
Derrick Hoskins
Fred mcafee
Josh Boyd

Not so sure about baseball. Maybe Brian Cole in the 18th round.
Could try and steal Jay Powell from West Lauderdale (19th pick)

Cassius Ware, Deshea Townsend, Dwayne Rudd, Eddie Strong, Peria Jerry, John Jerry.
David Renfroe in baseball.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

Since I live in Starkville I'll claim all the talent MSU has stockpiled into the pros.

Football-Steve McNair
Basketball-Randolph Keys
Baseball-Billy Hamilton (Born in Collins)
We have to stretch out my former hometown some. But at one time had 4 NFL players from Covington Co and three from Collins. A town of 2,500 or so.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.

Carthage High School
Robert Young-football
He led the SEC in sacks in 89 or 90. Had a good pro career shortened by injury.

Football - Marcus Dupree
Baseball - David Goforth
Basketball - No guys really stood out so I'll go Pashen Thompson. A 3yr starter at TN went to 3 Final Fours & won 2 championships

From Brandon High School
Football - Jerious Norwood in the 3rd round to Atlanta in 2006.
Baseball - I think Barry Wesson is the highest we have had drafted. He went in the 14th round to Houston in 1995.
Basketball - I do not know if we have ever had any one drafted. I am pretty sure we haven't in the last 30 years. Tyler Adams would have been the best chance if he hadn't had medical problems at Georgetown.

baseball-Bubba Phillips-white sox and Cleveland Indians
football-Dee Skinner, Willie Daniel,Darren Connor
Basketball-the Shorts (purvis and Eugene) were originally from Noxubee

That was way before my time so I'm not sure.
