Grilling ribs. A to Z Chardonnay. Watching LSU and Vandy. Got my English Bulldog sleeping in the den. Both daughters at home. Great night.

We are keeping it simple tonight. The kids have company over spending the night after allstar ball practice, and they wanted breakfast for supper, so we are cooking sausage from a hog I killed and had processed, eggs from the chicken house in the back yard, and home made cat head biscuits that my wife learned to cook from her 85 yr old grandmaw. It's simple but a dang fine meal, and its the best breakfast you will ever eat. On yeah I forgot the listening part, I have Metallica radio playing on pandora while sitting on the deck out back.

Went to an Irish pub here in Orange Beach. All seafood places were covered up. Pretty neat bar actually. Had a huge patty melt and brought half home. I know what I will be eating tomorrow.

Okay for tonight - movie scenes that make you laugh hard every time you watch them....the movies can suck, but if the scene makes you lose it, post it. Need some yucks tonight.

The original Porky's was funny. This scene and the Kim Catrell "Lassie" can get me to this day

We went out for dinner tonight, but tomorrow I'm smoking ribs. I'm watching the LSU/LLaf game and drinking a couple fingers of single malt from the Isle of Skye.

It's up there with that Super Trooper opening scene. That's what got me thinking about this idea.

Grilled salmon and red potatoes, King's Ridge Pinot Noir (average at best this vintage, it has been decent before). Started with a Timber Beast and a Jack the Sipper from Southern Prohibition. Also had a Devil s Harvest from SP. Finished with a dram each of Bunnahababain 18 and Glennfidditch Original.

Music was from Robert Cray, Robert Johnson, Sam Cooke, and the Commodores.
