Today's attendance 8,480. The season total was 230,918, the third highest in school history.

    That's interesting

I feel like there is a train wreck analogy here, something about people watching disasters

I'm also guess that's paid attendance, not actual attendance. SBW was a much smaller crowd than I've seen in a few years.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

This would be my guess. The whole paid attendence thing is and always has been BS

I really wish everyone would use actual attendence when they did this kinda thing, but wont ever be that way now.

Yeah i saw we averaged around 7,500 per game. There must have been a lot of invisible people in the stands this year. With that said there is no reason to use actual attendance compared to paid if everyone else in the country is doing it.

We will always have high attendance numbers due to the LFL, i'd say around 2,000-3,000 people are out there every game for the booze and the food rather than the game, you know, since there is nothing else to do in Starkville on weekends***

All we had to do was threaten to take away some lifetime seats.
