    2015 signee, Jared Padgett

Had 19 k's in his no hitter tonight. 6-4 200 lefty out of Graceville Fl. Don't know what classification his school is in.

They're pretty small- maybe even the smallest in Florida. That's still pretty darn good though.

Padgett is a guy to watch as far as the draft, but he had some rough outings in the summer in some tournaments. Not really anything to be concerned about on our part, but it dropped his draft stock.

My guess is he plays at a small school in a small division but he still has talent for Butch to mold. Ethan Small would be the one to go pro.

I read that Padgett might have worn down a little at the end of the summer, and it may have hurt his stock a little. I know he dropped some in the PG rankings. But he's going to be a stud- and I feel better now about getting him on campus than I did a year ago.

Exactly. His velocity at PG was like 87 if I remember correctly.

Also Konnor Pilkington pitched a 1 hitter with 14 K's in his game over a solid Ocean Springs team. He hit a couple of doubles as well.

Glad to know his high school coach is throwing him a complete game this early in the season... Thanks for taking care of his arm and his future**

If he had 19 K's there's a good chance he threw less than 80 pitches. That's not overworking the arm. My son played in Central Florida and there are some pretty bad HS teams. Including his.
