    Rick Ray speaks...

    He just tweeted,

Recruit HI character guys. All the credit goes to them for staying the course & continuing to believe after some tough losses.

Seems to be a round about shot at a certain group of MSU fans.

Not really. Sounds like him being proud of guys who stuck through hard times and are starting to see some success.

Obviously he is proud of his players but he can tell them that in the locker room. Don't think he is blind to message boards and the feel of his own fans towards him. He wants everyone's support and he finally deserves it.

I'll eat crow and say good job Rick Ray. Maybe he is what we needed as a coach. You have to say, these kids don't give up. I'll gladly jump on the RR bandwagon. Think of how easily he and the team could have given up and they didn't. I will say, he HAS to make some type of postseason next year.

It's a point that's good whether made by accident or on purpose. I wouldn't mind him demanding that the fans do their part. Seeing that full gym rocking in Tusc. in the Bama replay the other night reminded me that hoops culture in our area once threatened to rock like this was North Carolina and not the deep South. We can be a football school and a basketball school. The Hump is a treasure worth nurturing.

Maybe I'm thinking into him emphasizing recruit HI character guys. He stepped into a shitty situation do to the past recruitment of some low character guys. His way of doing things is working and I think he is giving him self credit. But maybe I'm trying too hard to be Sherlock Holmes.

He hasn't failed to make the postseason yet this year. Winning on the road is 'unsailing' that ship...

Let us take out Arky up there on Saturday, and you'll start to see the Hump come back. In a hurry...

I'm with you. They may just play into a decent NIT seed.

The Hump although halfway empty started showing signs of life during the Georgia game. Moments in that game reminded me of the 2001-2005 seasons. The hump at one time was equal to Kentucky as one of the hardest places to play in the sec. We need to get the swagger back In our venue.

Why not win the SEC Tournament and go to the Big Dance?
