This Week in GA Football Commits - Regular Season Finale
This week marks the end of the regular season for GA High School Football. For four lucky teams in each region, they can look ahead to the State Playoffs.
The Baldwin Braves (5-4, 3-2), featuring Kentavious Thomas look like they will be the 2 seed from region 2-AAAA. Win, and they host a playoff game. Lose, and they have to hope for help from Veterans HS so they don't have to play on the road. This week, the Braves face the Howard Huskies(3-5-1, 1-4) from Macon, GA. Howard is in only it's 7th season of football, and is having their best year to date. Howard has an opportunity to set a new school record for wins if they can beat Baldwin. Howard is led by their QB Courvoisier King (I am sure he is "The Ladies Man", Leon Phelps favorite QB ) and RB Tahjae Morant (1,132 yards in 9 games). Hopefully, the Braves and Thomas can pull this out and host the first round playoff game.
Trey Derouen and the Parkview Panthers (4-5, 3-4) face the #4 Dacula Falcons (8-1, 6-1). With a win, Dacula can clinch a share of the 8-AAAAAA title. Parkview can play spoiler, and get back to .500, but have to stop RB Cameron Watson - who had 192 yards on 30 carries last week. This will be Trey's last game for the Panthers, as they close the season and will not make the playoffs.
Good luck to all our commits tonight. Hail State!

Thomas scores the game winning TD with 1:26 left. Baldwin wins 21-14.
Trey and Parkview are down 35-0 late in the 4th.
I hope Dan can get a couple of GA guys in the 2016 class.

Thomas has over 1,000 yards rushing right?

I am pretty sure he is in the 1200 yard range. If I can find a total I'll post it.

Thomas had 170 tonight on 27 carries. Apparently they ran him out of the wildcat a good bit tonight.
