How does 2 weeks to prepare really help
Us v Bama? I'm sure it does, but how does it literally?
Is it that you get to watch More fi
On them?
More live practice against scouts acting
Like them?
What is the big advantage ?

more reps in practice really.
well probably spend a day or two this week working on teams other than UT Martin.

Nothing IMO except more rest for your starters. And the coaches don't have to waste time getting our team hyped up for the game. We all know we will bring our C game and win, even if it's 35-10.
It's a slippery slope to start prepping for Alabama during UT-Martin week. It's a precedent you don't want to start as a coach. Only way you truly get 2 weeks is if you have a bye.

We get to rest players that are banged up while Bama has to get beat up by LSU.
-
We always use a day during our bye weeks for Ole Missus- 6th year doing so.
There re is no slippery slope- u don't even tell the D it's Bama you're prepping for. You just add in some of their formations and plays- then talk about how you are going to adjust and what you are looking for in those sets. Defense starts getting used to them
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is
