Weekend Cooking & Drinking Thread
It's Friday hombres. Day started off with coffee and an egg white delight from the golden arches. Not sure what else I have planned but I'll be doing something tomorrow.

I completed a new endeavor this week.....homemade bacon. Buckboard bacon to be exact, made from pork butt. This was ridiculously simple, and only took two weeks of curing in my garage fridge (pickling salt, pink salt and brown sugar). Smoked it on my Weber kettle when the cure was done. It is less fatty than traditional belly bacon, but tastes the same.
That being said, I now have 10 lbs of bacon that needs to be eaten....much of which this weekend, likely. Also considering experimenting with scotch eggs this weekend as well.

Starting off with a cup of gumbo and a few Coors Lights at the local watering hole right now. Rest of the weekend is a crap shoot.

I fixed a roast, rice and gravy, and whipped up a batch of bisquits. Now I'm watching FL/UK and having a little buffalo trace and sprite zero.
