    Quick Afternoon Outing

    Got off work and went to Academy and bought an ultra light spinning combo (Shakespeare cheap) and some various crappie tackle. Put 4lb mono on the setup. Hit the neighborhood lake for 45 mins and got 4 crappie and 7 bream. The lakes have seemed dead all winter and spring and today I finally saw life. Fish popping bugs on the water everywhere and they even hit my cork 3-4 times.

    Have fun filleting... tater chips... brings me back to a memory I have of Archie Phillips' show where he took some bream fillets and boiled them like shrimp. I've been too scared to try it, but it makes sense...
