    Speck or any Coast Dawgs

I've got a question for yall. This picture is the PC side of the BSL bridge. On the south side of the bridge it looks like there is a sandy beachy area under the rocks. It looks like a good place to launch a kayak. What say ye?

Are you pulling it off of a trailer or just pulling out of the bed of a truck or roof of a car?

I think that may actually be posted as private but not sure. Not sure I'd let that stop me as there is a public park right there were you could go part your car, so you wouldn't have to leave it on anybody's property.

Are you wanting to paddle straight west to fish the bridge?

I'm looking to fish the bridge basically. My other spot is the reef right next to the bridge. I'd be unloading out of my truck and not a trailer. Honestly, I'm being a bit lazy and looking for the quickest launch and paddle ratio. If it's posted, I'm not gonna break the law though

If it's posted, there is a public boat ramp not too far to the south that I'm guessing you're aware of. If you go north of the bridge, there are several empty lots with old driveways that go pretty close to the water. That'd still be trespassing I guess, but there probably wont be any signs posted and I doubt most of the owners would care.

You can and I have, but it can be a bit shady parking there. It's also a sandy trail back there and can get nasty. I would recommend launching at the Henderson Launch (Red Arrow). It's an easy paddle and is close to other structure. It's rarely crowded and has plenty of safe parking. This area is where I kayak fish and also launch the boat about 75% of the time. If you head there, I would be glad to point you towards a few hot spots.

Edit: I want to say that area has a ton of oysters and can make for a tough launch on your feet/kayak.

Thanks for the info. I can make that paddle easily and I know a ton of kayak guys use that launch. I was just looking for an easy way. I love launching from sandy beaches b/c it's so easy.

they also have a public beach on the west side of the bridge. be a pain to drag your kayak to the water, but it's right by the bridge. in the plus side, you can stop and have a beer in downtown Bay after fishing if you go that way.
