Yes, just a few more years and a few more mediocre players and we can work our way out of the SEC cellar and up to the 13th or maybe even the 12th worst team in the conference. Season tickets on the Titanic anyone?

So, you think we're a couple years from being the second or third best team in the conference? Good to know**

We are now 7-29 in the SEC under Ray. Do y'all realize how long it's going to take just to get back to .500 in the SEC now for Ray? It'd take eleven straight 10-8 seasons just to get back to an even record. Good ****ing grief.

Ha, when you put it that way, it sounds even worse....and I didn't think it could be any worse.

I can see why he keeps predicting we will be better. I can't believe he is not bragging about our #3 position in steals. Ignoring the rest.

Richard Williams started 9-27, guess we should have fired him after year two also. Really set our program back by not doing that.**

Yes let's reference a time when no one gave a crap about basketball. And congrats to Scott for returning us back to that time.

Coach could have had the job if he asked for it at that point in time. And now we would all be working second jobs just to be able save our money for travel to the final four every year. But was he old enough to sign a contract back then?

I don't even blame Ray. Was he supposed to turn down the job? Hell, I'm sure he was as surprised as everybody else when he was announced.

I think you see where I'm going.

Haha...exactly. So, the goal is to get Ray's coaching record to .500? Add that to the list of awful posts made by Dawgs61.

Richard Williams was 89-113 in the SEC at State. With an SEC title, 2 NIT's, a Sweet 16, and a Final Four

And just for shits and giggles, when did Richard Williams start to win at MSU? Could it be when Rick Stansbury was brought on staff? Never in a million years could there be any coincidence.

He started winning when that recruiting class that he and John Brady put together became Sr's. He had been to the NIT with them the year before when they were Jr's.

Where was the Stands effect in his 2nd and 3rd years as an asst???? We went 15-13 and 13-16. Point is- Williams won with the class he and Brady put together- had another lull when all 5 of them graduated, and then went on a run in 95 and 96 with a bunch that Stands and Kirby helped put together

Why is Richard Williams our standard for excellence? Over all he was a average coach in a really good SEC. Ray is a shitty coach in a Shitty SEC. RW was never last nor next to last in almost every category. To defend the shittyness of our Basketball team is stupid.Maybe we will be better next year and I will pulling for Ray to lead us into the middle of the pack, but for His first two years he is a failure in the first degree. We will still have shitty guards, under 6' guards dooms you in today's basketball. Ready was giving up 6" on His man Saturday, that shit won't fly. Ray has to recruit better and the guys he is bringing in aren't that good. Ready and Bloodman next year, that alone is the kiss of death.
