Andddddd just like that....
We won Game 1 vs OU.
Now their 5-plus ERA's SP's have to stop us from winning another game. How can they let Bucket do that? How can a 20-2 team let Bucket beat them like that?
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

This seems like a thread that will be bumped 200 times. Wish you had waited till we won 2

Their final pitcher had an era of 7.71 and we couldn't score on him so there's that..........

That's because somehow Hunter Hines is always hitting with guys on base.

Is it time to put Sullivan at first and free up the DH spot for Frei?
-
There is still a path for this team to finish 27-3 in sec play

Fixed it for you.

I'm wondering if Frei can play left field and move Stallman or Downs to first.

Frei DH, Stallman at 1st, Downs in LF, sit HH ass on the bench. Also, What about Cupp leading off? He leads the team in walks, is hitting almost .300, and has the 2nd best OBP behind Sully. The way he works the count could be a decent leadoff...
I would go,
Reeves 2b
Reece 3B
Sully 1B
Downs LF
Frei DH
Chance CF
Stevens RF
Highfill C
Cupp SS

I'm not sure Ross will be in the lineup anytime soon. Haven't gotten an official update yet but damn it looked bad. Some guys never recover from that.

How does this keep happening? Does not matter where you put him in the lineup and he’s always in a big spot and never ever under any circumstances delivers. The math doesn’t make sense.
-
Did the pitcher intentionally throw it into him?
I know it is typical to jamb a batter trying to bunt but his pitch was a little too much.
So, no retaliation today?

We pitched it pretty well last night even with an umpire that was wildly inconsistent all night. He’s was at least inconsistent for both teams. We were fortunate to scrape 2 runs across while we still left a bunch stranded. Will gladly take a road win. Free Frei.

Wasn't intentional at all. Highfill had a SO and a dribbler back to the pitcher prior to that AB. I think that when the pitcher came out of his wind up and Highfill turned to bunt it threw off his timing and he just lost control. Struck Highfill on the left side of nasal bone. It will bleed a lot and it hurts like hell so he might be out the weekend, but hopefully not too long

Good win against a good team on the road. I am hoping we win game two, didn't watch but looking at the stat lines must have been really great pitching, we had 7 hits and them 4.
Gotta hit and score more runs.
Off the subject, hope Lady Dawgs win today, I wonder if Cohen is waiting on us to lose today to make his announcement for their next HC. But he seems to be slow pulling the trigger all his hires. LOL

Can someone explain to me how Hines is still in the lineup? Is it a defensive thing? He is so bad out there at the plate and getting worse
