Two on Friday or Two on Sunday
With softball being moved to a Friday DH with one on Sunday, what are the chances that baseball follows suit. I know softball is on the road so technically not us making that call but I would imagine we are having those same conversations.
Would you rather play two on Friday and play two 9 inning games or have two 7 inning games on Sunday. Personally I would rather play two on Friday with their bullpen issues.

Agree, I would prefer the DH on Friday. Saturday through the afternoon looks like a washout although the weather looks to be moving toward the evening - would we try to play late Saturday?

According to SEC rules we can't make that happen.

2 on Sunday may not can happen.
UT has a drop dead time when they have to leave and return to Austin.

And we have TV to deal with. There is now talk of starting Saturday night. How credible or possible that is I do not know.

That's ridiculous.

Also ridiculous considering that I am 90% sure that Texas is flying to the Starkville region.

This is the right answer. Would allow us a better chance of getting into their bullpen.

Which day are we going to be swinging the bats?

We will not play a Friday doubleheader. They will adjust the Saturday game time, or we will attempt a Sunday doubleheader.

State seems to want to try and play Saturday. I just don't see it. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see any way possible we play on Saturday

Why do SEC teams have a freaking deadline time on Sunday?? If the one game went into extras on Sunday at some point would they just quit and it would be a tie? It's a 2 hour flight, not a 12 hour bus ride. Geez, so much for it just means more.

Well, if they do play Saturday there won't be much of any crowd there. Saturday is going to be potentially very dangerous weather.

I don't think we'll play Saturday. I doubt there will be a gap to play. No one really knows the timing on this thing.
There's also the fact that if we play, the crowd will be nonexistent out of all likelihood. This weekend is probably not going to be great attendance wise.
Friday-if they keep the game at 6, people north of 82 will be hesitant to travel because no clue what they could be driving back into tonight
Saturday-Pretty self explanatory. Weather models have it being bad any time between 8 AM-9 PM. I just don't see a window to play unless the storms come through earlier than expected and we can play at like 7 PM
Sunday-If you don't play Saturday you're going to have to play a really early game on Sunday because you have a TV game at 1. The early game would cut your crowd because you'll have people that aren't going to miss church and you also will have people cleaning up from the storms.
The smart thing to do would've probably been play at 12 and 3 today, although that would've torpedoed your crowd, you're probably not going to have much of a crowd anyways so best to just get two 9 inning games in over having to get two 7 inning games in on Sunday, in which the last one could technically end in a tie due to time restraints of getting Texas back to Austin.
