    Pitching vs #24 Troy

My best guesses for starter are Siary, Pruitt, Davis, McPherson. Probably wont put a heavy work load if its a wkend arm because of huge games coming up this weekend. I would love to see how Davis reacts in a starting situation because he has shoved and deserves a shot to start. Im leaning towards giving Williams a shot to close. His K to Free Pass ratio is 5-1 and hasnt given up a hit in 2 IP.

After not seeing him this weekend, I'd guess Pruitt is starting tomorrow.

Still early and I haven't seen everyone pitch yet but I liked what I've seen from Williams. He looked good in bullpen as I watched this past Saturday too. Good control and high velo.

What about Gavin Black and Bradley Loftin?

Are Noah Sullivan and Nolan Stevens going to get a chance to take the mound? All of these guys were big parts of our pitching staff in the pre-season. I'm really not wanting to see a lot more of Luke Dotson closing out the 9th (thinking that's not gonna end well once we hit the SEC).

The last I heard is that Black is having issues with command.

Loftin is not on the 40 man. So I think you've seen him pitch here for the last time. He could come back next year but.....

So him coming back isn't realistic? What happened there?

Kind of felt like that was coming. We need him to settle into a groove for us. He's a guy we need to find his form. Because his form is a weekend starter.

He should have taken the money out of high school. Wasn't it like a 1-2 million signing bonus?

Correct. He had teams calling him in the back half of the first round and top of the second offering 1.2-1.5 to get him to sign. When teams realized he wasn't budging off his number, they removed him from their boards.

Not exactly a bad all things considered.

Well that is really unfortunate for him.

He can come back next season no issue, next season he is 22, that's just 1-year older than the typical college draft pick.

MLB does not like 2-year rests on 35+ year old's. But kids are a different story.

But that 1.5 mil signing bonus will more than likely not be waiting.

He is obviously RS'ing because he remains on our roster. Hopefully he gets healthy by next season.

42 players listed. Apparently, Loftin and Gleason are redshirting. everyone else is on the active 40 man roster. Some really talented players will barely see the field. If next year's 34 man limit holds, you will see a big trickle down effect to mid-majors.
