I have high hopes for this team as well, especially from the the pitching staff....

Our hitting coach, on the other hand....doesn't have me particularly brimming with confidence. Is there another gear we can expect to see from Gautreau this season, or nah?

This staff is super talented. We dont even have any expectations right now for Loftin- and he is a guy that could be a weekend SP if he gets it together and stays healthy.

The hitting talent is there. No excuses.

Titles matter. It's not the only measure of a coach- but it does weigh heavily.

I'd rather be Larry Coker with my 2 titles than Kyle Whittingham with no titles

And titles should REALLY matter to a school that never had one before 2021.

I think the championship prejudice becomes relevant at 3 to 5 championships like Skip Bertman.

There's only been 6 coaches in history that have 3 or more titles.

The new Oregon State dude is a potential giant.

The "new'" coach is Mitch Canham who was hired just one year after Lemonis was hired at State. In those five years, he never won the Pac12 (despite having the most talent in that league) and he's never made it to Omaha. This "potential giant" sure hasn't shown much potential.

Lemon is averaging 1 trip every 2.5 seasons
