Beardo this is what happens when the cupboard is bare and you have 22 kids playing together for the 1st time/ Also what happens when you don't recruit for a few years. Just imagine we are the 76 Buccaneers and it's going to take a few years of consistent recruiting and getting players who have played together. Just look at Mizzou a few years ago and now. That is your blueprint.

Rebs have somehow done ok reloading and they are a bottom dweller like us.

Agree with mizzou comparisons. No idea if Lebby is the guy.

He's not the guy, I've never seen a team as unprepared and unmotivated as this team tonight.

It sounded to me like he was on the team at half, then he wasn?t. I?d be very interested to know the story if that were the case.

One of the WR Dad's going in on the coaches also on Twitter. Was supposed to be the starter and now is on special teams and coaches won't say why. Feels like the wheels are falling off.

Coaching, leadership, and spoiled show me the money individuals and this is what you get.

Yeah some talent issues but you look across our roster, there are 3-4 star players all over. 3-4 star talent don't loose by 24 to G5 at home. Problems are much deeper than just we don't have talent. You can't convince me that an SEC school can't out talent any G5 team. We have way more everything.

Per NY Times: The New York Times identified more than 120 collectives, including at least one for every school in each of the five major college football conferences. The average starter at a big-time football program now takes in about $103,000 a year, according to Opendorse, a company that processes payments to the players for the collectives. This year, Opendorse said it expects to process over $100 million in payments for athletes, with about 80 percent coming through collectives.

With the addition of TX and OU to the SEC in this new era of NIL and schools buying a new team every year, Mississippi State is finished. They didnt adapt to the new landscape of college ball like other schools and the game has passed them by. State will never be anything more than a lesser program where emerging talent can be cherry-picked by other schools. What an embarassment. Just leave the SEC at this point and go elsewhere. This school will never amount to shit again.

Lebby is clearly in way over his head and there appears to be a lot of locker room problems with players quitting both on and off the field. This in large can be attributed to the mercenary style of team that we were forced into with the failure of arnett and the death of Leach. We have a lot of players that are rejects from other programs and trying to build from scratch when what we have is chicken shit. We need to hit the portal for pieces here and there - the foundation of the team needs to be build the old fashioned way from recruiting MS HS's and JC's not shopping for other schools portal rejects.

This is truth. The foundation can't be by transfer rejects. MSU has always had good teams doing this and must do it now more than ever.

Agree with Viverlibe. College football is about motivation, determination, mental attitude, momentum, etc. Toledo was mentally prepared and highly motivated as well as being physically stronger. Our coaching staff need to go to Psychology classes if nothing else. It?s a mind game as much as anything else. They need to realize this.

Another guy I'm confused on why he doesn't get more playing time is Creed. Whenever he does get a chance he always does well so it's weird we don't see more of him. Regardless though until the O line learns to play like their life depends on it it won't matter much.
