    Sept. 11th

In the midst of our fighting and bickering about NIL, our D Coordinator, and just MSU sports in general. Let's not lose sight of today. Thousands of Americans lost their lives that day, but the heroes of that day will live on forever. Whether it was those brave men and women on Flight 93, the NYC fire fighters and policeman, or a commodities trader in a red bandana I hope none of us ever forget how we felt that day and how we came together as a country after it.

One of the most vivid memories I will ever have of MSU Athletics will be of that Thursday night game against USCe. Even as a 8 yr old you could feel the patriotism in that place. I will also never forget the one guy screaming Go To Hell Bin Laden and the place just erupting. The only other time I heard the place that loud for a sustained period of time was Senior Night in 2011 when Nick Bell's mother stood on the field.

I remember well! I was out in Anaheim California at a convention the week of 9/11. Two of my colleagues were on the flight from Boston that crashed into the World Trade Center. They were also on their way to Anaheim for the convention. Even during the confusion, could not get out of Anaheim - air space shut down and rental cars were nonexistent so we were stuck - we decided to continue the convention to pass the time as best we could. I did not get home until late Friday night - flight from Anaheim to Atlanta was weird, very little talking, you could hear a pin drop. Once in Atlanta for catching my connecting flight back to MS - it was a ghost town, I saw only 3 luggage carts moving around to deliver luggage to the handful of planes at the terminals. My family stayed awake until I entered the door about 1 am, it was an emotional moment.

I hold in my heart all who were killed on that day!

Blow me up, I don't care but 17 that!
We worry more about selling this than the stuff we should be marketing. Hell, that flag is now banned from that field even. It's time to get out of this backroads family reunion and military BS marketing ploy.
It was such a big deal it took 20 years to do this...

What are you talking about did you mean to reply to this thread? What you said has nothing to do with the topic.

This thread has a spectacular opportunity at complete failure.

And the people in WTC 7 tower that defied the laws of gravity and fell to the ground for no reason with no planes or anything touching it.

I will pray for the families and people that died that day

That's crazy! Sorry to hear that, probably still stings 23 years later.

I have always had an ear to politics and war, been fascinated with it for as long as I could remember. I went to small Christian school and my teacher didn't let us watch it as a 10 year old I knew what was going on and was so mad I couldn't watch.

Pretty sure I remember that building being clobbered with tons and tons of falling steel and concrete.

There were 0 casualties of the WTC 7 collapse. Because they had known for hours it was going to collapse. There were fires raging through that building all day.
