We've got a good 3B transfer, and a solid OF transfer. So with Mershon and Hines and Chance (actually pretty good in SEC play) we're in need of an OF and a 2B. Between Pulliam/Cupp/that other transfer, you have to think we'll have 1 of them pan out for 2nd. Downs is back right? That should be a .300 hitter with 10 homers at DH. If Highfill comes back strong that's another hole in the lineup solved.

So an OF is likely all we'll need to fill with a subpar player. Vs this year where we had holes at 2B, 3B, DH, and C, that's a big step forward for the offense. Defense should stay strong.

Pitching is uh... so that Indiana State transfer is a starter, but the other pitchers seem like they aren't starter caliber. So we need big jumps from Ligon, Pico, Black, ect to field a rotation and definitely can't survive a major injury.

We might have to win in the exact opposite way we did this year

Nah, Mershon isn't coming back and 3B is looking real shaky. Still need an OF but Pullman can play there too.

Mershon’s number was 800K. He gonna sign in the 18th round for 200K? That would be beyond stupid

3B should be fine between Frei and the Citadel transfer.

Pico de Gallo looked like a weekend guy down the stretch once he got healthy and his strength back. He had 4-5 teams contact him and try to steal him this off-season. He’s a Dude

Well, idk about Mershon but the 3B transfer hit like .319 or something. He'll be an upgrade over Kohler at the least

Rumor is he's signing. Free has had a rough summer. Pico is fine if he can stay healthy. Same for our transfer hoss. We really don't have a great 3 unless our Juco takes it.

He's made it known he wants to start playing pro baseball.
I'm hoping common sense will win out here and he won't sign for so little compared to what he wanted.

Mershon Camp working that NIL. His was $150K before the draft and they laughed because they just knew he was 850K or betting in the Draft. Well now he went so late and will not get anything close to 850K- they gonna play slick.

    Welcome to NIL

Kohler had a higher average at Memphis than Frei did at UNA. I'm not giving up on frei but you can't always go off that

Kohler also played through a shoulder injury this year, so it's tough to gauge his ability off that as well.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Do we know his actual number yet? 18th round can't be more than like 50-75k. Give him a 25k increase in NIL and tell him take it or leave it

He's not getting anywhere near what they expected. If he signs a pro contract it's just strictly because he wants to start pro ball. He's selling himself short though, because he's still got leverage. He could make more in nil this year then what he's gonna get offered. He needs to comeback and make some good nil and then get drafted higher next year. He could do himself better for sure.

Rumor is he's got a solid deal worked out but that's mighty late to be working out. I haven't looked at what LAA draft looked like but if they didn't have a ton it's possible I guess.

He wasn't struggling in summer ball and was a P5 guy. Wasn't good at Purdue but he was a Parker guy who he was familiar with. There are real concerns.

Could finally have a DH that really hits.

If Sullivan and/or Stallman offer power bats that can hit for decent average, that's a huge upgrade over a DH that can only slap 20 singles and 1-rolling double per year.

I think the battle for the DH could be good and we could see more than one guy in that spot.
