The 11th rounder was a UVA commit and the 34th rated HS player. And 105 rated draft player. So he's a 2nd round guy in talent. People must have feared the collegiate option.
Prager staying breaks the top-10 round logic. That they are MLB locks and pre-negotiated picks.
Prager's choice just means more for other picks like the 11th rounder. They also signed TAM's Chris Cortez for -500K slot value.
Rule: "Each pick among the top 10 rounds carries a slot value, and the individual amounts added together get each team’s total bonus pool. Teams are able to use that money however they like in the draft—i.e. each pick doesn’t automatically sign for the assigned slot value—with penalties incurring if teams go over their total bonus pools."
