Winning cures all. Plus, Parker is a reputational star. He coached U-18 levels of team USA, he will know many of the candidates. Plus he's Rotation jobs.

On the field player side, give Lemons credit for Ledbetter, Yeager, Dubrule, Hujsak, and Powell. Those are players he picked and became stars. JL3 and Davis (CF) were supposed to be depth players, not starters. He has starting CF, 3B and 1B work to offer, there seem to be lots of candidates every year.

This thread was epic last year.
As stated before, Parker has tons of before and after data from this season to show transfer pitchers. Khal, Loo, Davis, Dohm, Hardin all had massive drops in Eras and walks. We got the lab. We got the stadium. And we have playing time to offer.
Lemon needs to find some power bats.
We also need to recruit some on roster back. Mershon is borderline draft or South Carolina. Gotta keep Stevens happy and hope he is not getting home sick. Any chance we could keep Khal or Dohm who are both juniors?

Why are we worried about Mershon transferring? Is he homesick?

He could be drafted high enough to leave. And seems like someone said his younger brother was going to South Carolina. Not positive on that.

Hopefully we'll optimize our schedule accordingly.

Just like when we won the national championship, we crushed it in the portal. **

What are the odds that Parker pulls younger Merson to MSU?

C: Powell (could be back), Long (gone), Highfill (will be back if he's healthy)
    1B: Hines (gone)
2B: Pulliam (will be back), Larry (gone)
    3B: Kohler (gone)
SS: Mershon (probably gone), Cupp (will be back)
LF: Chance (possibly gone), Downs (could be back
    CF: Hujsak (gone)
    RF: Jordan (gone)

    Khal Stephen (gone)
    Cinjtje (gone)
    Dohm (gone)
    Tyler Davis (gone)
    Hardin (gone)
    Pico (probably back)

So we're looking at a complete rebuild. Gonna have to hope and pray current freshmen take a step forward, incoming freshmen make an impact, and we're aggressive in the portal and land some top guys which we haven't done the last 2 years. Don't give Lemon a higher buyout after this year

THIS is why its so frustrating that we left SO many wins on the table this year and likely won't host because this was a definite up year in our talent cycle even though expectations were low coming into the season. Lowered expectations preseason were a result of two terrible seasons, not a lack of overall talent. Now next year will be a talent depleted team unless we work wonders in the transfer portal. If next year's team finishes in the top half of the league it will be very surprising. Lemonis and staff will definitely be back, and should be for the improvement shown this year over the past 2, but Lemonis may be back in the crosshairs again next year unless he can find some big time players in the portal. There just isn't much of anything proven coming back.

Kids wanted to come, had to many roster spots filled. With veteran field position starters. Still got Yeager.

But even bigger than transfers, the Fox was f***king up the pitchers. We can only imagine what a proper PC, like Parker would have done with Cade, Fristoe, Tepper, Preston Johnson, KC Hunt, and maybe even Stinnett. Even losing Sims and Simmons. I bet a decent season, ending in a regional championship or super.

If history is any indicator we'll fill our needs but we'll see if we can reel in the big fish this time that can put us over the top.

We're not worried about Mershon transferring. Him leaving early for the draft....that's a different story
