why did it take Lemonis so long to put Pulliam in?
it seems to me he is way better than Larry. better arm, better hitter, better fielder. Why wait thill half the season is over to play Him. Maybe he should bat 2nd behind Mershon with Hjsack 3td and put Dakota 4th with Chance behind Him. Move Hinds to 6th or 7th in order.

he's a freshmen, can take those guys a bit to get things figured out. he probably did the right thing, if he was thrown in there at the beginning of the year and looked bad our fanbase would never give the kid another chance and be calling for Lemo's head for playing him. get into a regional as a 2 seed with our best lineup figured out by then and im happy

Loyalty to older player
Giving Freshman time to adjust
I agree he waited a little too long
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Listening to radio last night, they said all but 1 of his hits have been pulled through the 6-hole. I'm sure he will be pitched differently or shifted soon... hopefully he can adjust

This. Read Dan's book "Loyalty to Upper Class Men Until the Whole World Knows Better". Jans recently read Dan's other book, "How to JOB Search At Year's End and Insult Loyal Fan Base".****

What job was Jans ever openly linked to that he was the front runner for? I'm being serious. The only thing I remember was there being smoke that he MIGHT interview for the Arkansas job. No wonder there's rumors he's looking to get out. He gets no support and then gets bitched at for a job one reporter linked him to that he never even interviewed for. And btw, we knew he wasn't here for a long time WHEN WE HIRED HIM. And he and Selmon have a HELL OF A LOT better relationship than any other coach not named Lebby on campus.

He had a great ab last night with runner on third and one out. He made a concerted effort to go the other way to get the run in and turned into a double. I don't think the kid will have trouble adjusting he seems to have a high baseball iq, but of course you never know.

I like that lineup!

Lemonis is 68-70 in Sec play. No doubt he won with someone else's talent, the last three years 28-49 n Sec games. This weekend is huge, many are hoping for one win, Vandy ain't what they use to be, but they are ok at home and we are iffy on the road. I hope we win the series and I hope we don't get swept which I don't think.

Because he is basically a walk on.
-
Cupp has a higher ceiling than Pulliam so that's why Pulliam has had to wait awhile.
Cupp and Pulliam are going to be one of the best MIF in the SEC if not the best by 2026.

Bc his fielding and baserunning left a lot to be desired....... clearly they've gotten somewhat better. But he's made an error and didn't catch a flyball that Mershon had to run over and catch. It's a small sample size but he has the hands to hit.

Based on athletic aid yes. But he was recruited and both his parents work on campus and is going to school for free. Have to have 13 guys like him. Meaning not on scholarship.

11.7 is, was, and will always be, ridiculous.

surely his baserunning can't be worse than the stupid shit other starters have shown. you know we have a position that has sucked all year that doesn't require fielding-it is called DH.Ideal- for someone who just can hit.

Well we aren't playing him at dh..... his baserunning in the fall was not up to snuff. Obviously, he got better and / or we were to the next man up approach. Either way, hope he continues to play well. For his sake and ours.

He's a player. One thing about MSU walk ons in baseball is that we have plenty of success stories
Another is that every player in Samford, Campbell, Stetson, Mercer ... would be a Walkon freshman at Mississippi State. But that's were studs like Nate Lowe (best 1B since Raffo), Yeager, and Ledbetter came from.
I understand that Condon at UGA was a "preferred" walk on. MSU is due a miracle kid.

walkon isn't the correct term really w EP. He was recruited by numerous schools and committed to us in the 9th grade. He gets free tuition which is approx 1/3 ish of a sholarship, that we just don't have to spend out of the 11.7.

Brent Rooker may fall into your "miracle kid" category.

Mangum is who falls into the miracle kid. He was basically cut his Freshman year fall and ends up the national Freshman of year, SEC freshman of the year, and all time MSU and SEC hits leader. That's a kid that if you would've asked people around the program about that fall they would have told you we'd be lucky if he ever contributed.
