Interesting that the star player at NC State is Madison Hayes. The star player at Tennessee this year was also a former MSU player! Damn, there was some talent here at one point.

I noticed that too and Rickea Jackson will be a top 3-5 pick in the wnba draft.. our women's program was really big at one point. If Purcell can somehow get Van lith and go grab a few more talented girls out of the portal I think we can get back there

Sadly, many folks would be shocked at how common this is across all college athletics. Too many on middle school reading and writing levels, at best.

Hayes left because of Jackson. We probably would have kept her had Jackson left when Vic left. I will give her this, she really grew up at Tennessee. Either that or they catered to her and her mom’s every wish.

My sister taught at a Junior college. She taught English 101. She let me read some the mid term papers that she was grading. I was shocked and astonished how bad the grammar was. She said that she should fail everyone but her higher ups wouldn?t let her.

I'm an NC State fan for the first game tonight. Then hope Iowa wins it all.

They need to qualify for college first though.

Yeah the irony is we have cheapened the education but driven up the cost of college degree. Our education system top to bottom has given in the big money, entertainment, and group think.

Saw other day the ave GPA at Harvard is 3.99. It used to be somewhere near 3 or something.

That piece of paper only means so much now.

Yes, I agree they "NEED" to qualify but let's be realistic here; how many student athletes, especially the more gifted ones, actually "QUALIFY" according to normal college standards?

It is sad that you have a college age person with a middle school education!
