Halfway between 83 and 84 means that I am very much into the sunset years. At this point in time, it truly is about the significance of one's life...about the impact made, or not made, on one's kids and grandkids....impact on folks whose paths have crossed yours over the years. In my case also, it is "Have I prepared, to the best of my ability, my three sons, now in their 50s and my six young adult grandkids for dealing with the 'world' in which they will find themselves in the decades ahead?" I tend to be an 'optirealist' (my phrasing) so, as I watch them now, I am confident that they will do well.
