Road Q1 loss by 6. Much rather a win, but not a killer for our resume at all. Take care of business Saturday to lock it up

Once we made a run, the refs held us back as much as they could. Tolu committed a real foul though that hurt us at the 5 min mark

Only State could be a team in the tournament and play a team on the outside of the bubble and the officials call the fouls in that team’s favor.

We had a freshman take 23 shots! 23! He took 19 3 pointers and made 5. He missed his last 7. That cannot happen. We have 5 seniors or grad students who play 20 plus minutes per game. The offense is offensive!

Who would you suggest take the shots? Jeffries is a liability on offense, Matthews is a liability on offense, Jones is a liability on the floor, Tolu MIGHT shoot it if he is wide open under the basket, Moore is scared to shoot, Murphy does not need to shoot unless he is under the basket, and Davis sometimes likes to shoot and sometimes does not. That literally leaves just Hubbard.

Rams was hotter down the stretch.
-
The ref called a shooting foul on Hubbard?s last shot with 9.3 seconds left but didn?t give him the FTs. WTH?

About to play our way out of the tournament

That's why I don't get all the Jans love we see around here. I think he's a solid coach but we have some celebrating him like he's the second coming of John Wooden. Bottom line is this team hasn't improved from last year and we had everyone back yet here we are in the exact same spot we were one year ago.

It's almost like this is a great conference that's tough to win in. Tenn, Kentucky, and Florida join us as teams that have lost at aTm. aTm is good vs good teams (10-9 in Q1 Q2 games). They just suck vs bad teams (2-4 in Q3 games)

Sure it's a great conference, no one is saying it isn't. Point is, we had EVERYONE back, plus a possible SEC freshman of the year candidate yet here we are with virtually the same record and one loss away from not making the NCAA. That's not progress and it's disappointing.

Our so-called "D" first made their 3 point shooters look like they were first team NBA in the first half. Thought D traveled. Lose to SC and we on back on the bubble. Our win streak was against teams worse than us. We struggle against teams with equal type talent, especially Tolu.

If we lose Saturday, sure. If we win though, it will be 2 straight NCAA tournies. We've done this 3 times in our history.
ETA... I'm not sure we'd be eliminated with a loss Saturday, but we'd certainly have to win a couple in Nashville

Tenn, auburn, Washington st, and NW are projected in the tourney. We have beat good teams.
And aTm's 70% from 3 in the 1st half was a total fluke. They're 350th out of 351 teams in 3-pt shooting

How many SEC basketball games this season has a team had less than 10 fouls for an entire game?
-
From everything I've saw, we were projected to finish 7th in the sec preseason. We're tied for 7th, and we're currently projected to be in the tourney. I'm not seeing how this is a disappointing season

No idea, but I found this interesting...
Entering our game last night from February 1st, aTm has avg'd 16.9 fouls a game (sample is 8 games).

It's not. It was disappointing we came out so flat after the horrible start vs AU. And we've now lost 3 in a row when you hope you're playing your best ball.
This team still has the ability to make a run if we get in the tournament with a lucky draw.

Besides the obvious southern game, the Bama home loss and the first half of the Auburn games are my biggest disappointments. I still think we shoulda beat Bama at home. .
