Yeah, these games shouldn?t be played. If they want to do 1 preseason game against these guys, that have a running clock and doesn?t count and allows them to have a pay day, fine. But in this game, there are only bad things that could happen.
I'm pretty impressed by our offense though. This is easy. It was never this easy against these types when Mullen was here
Finally just started working.
BOOM !!!
21-0
TSU-19 yards.
Rogers 2 TDs. AWilliams 2 Rec tds
Let the D get one more series then let's sit all the starters
Time to pull the starters.
Agree. I hope Tennessee State is getting a really good payout for the game. They probably need it. Other than the money for the small college team, there's really no need to schedule such games. They shouldn't count for bowl eligibility at all.
I googled to see where the school is located (Nashville) and a little about the school. It's an HBCU college, with an average cost per year after aid of $10K. For families earning $30K or less, the average is $9K, but that's 1/3 of the annual family income! I don't see how they could possibly attend college under those conditions. I don't mind a little government aid at all for those folks.
Hopefully get to see some Knox and Hargrove.
Wheat is a freak athlete. Will have a long career in the nfl
Agreed. Maybe in the early 90s these type of games were a little more competitive. With SEC programs making 65 million + each year from ESPN only, those days are over.
Screens just don't work well against 3 man rushes.
Not ideal on the fumble. Now the TSU offense is like, crap we have to go back out.
Ohio State making Michigan State looke like TSU. 21-0 buckeyes.
