I don't see any emotion or passion..
Was one NC enough to coast for a lifetime?
Oops. Sorry
LOL. I closed the thread accidentally. I'm freaking exhausted emotionally and physically after having an emergency work issue till 430am.
Why we let people who play with balls inflict so much emotional baggage on us....
I'm heading home to pour something from My bourbon shelf. And forget until tomorrow.. When hopefully we can turn it around and salvage the weekend.
But hope... Is a dangerous thing..
Ya damn right Red.
Scooba, I'm gonna be honest. All my life I have wanted, really wanted, only one thing with regard to MSU sports. A CWS championship. I have followed all sports religiously for 50 years and deeply want for every team to win any contest in which they participate. From football to women's golf. And I will celebrate any and all victories for MSU on the field/court/course. But, a CWS championship had been my life long dream. We finally achieved that and I thought I would be ok with everything going forward. No matter the outcome in any sport. I applaud Chris Lemonis and his staff for that feat. I will be forever grateful. However, the product they have produced over the past year plus is without a doubt one of the most unacceptable and disappointing debacles I have witnessed in MSU sports. Have there been other, worse disappointments in our sports history? Absolutely. On a regular basis. But with the investment, support, energy and overall resources as this baseball program? No. Especially not with the record breaking recent facilities provided. It's not as if Lemonis had taken over a bottom feeding program with no support or interest in the sport at all. Now, I realize similar situations have occurred at other high level sports programs. Bama has had it happen in football. More than once. But, they did not sit idle and wait for something to miraculously change out of the clear blue sky. Changes were made with no questions asked. Such changes, if required, will obviously take place only after this season is complete. But, the picture is becoming clear. And it is not a pretty sight. I sincerely hope Coach Lemonis is capable of captaining this ship through the storm that is the last year plus, but I don't see it at present. If he does, then he deserves every dollar he is paid. If not, then he has made a hell of a living off Mississippi State University and we can thank him for providing hardware never before achieved. But that will be about it. Sadlyl
