I was lucky in '85 or '86 to get to go to an Old Timers game at the old Launching Pad. It was an exhibition game prior to a regular Braves game. It was old Braves against a group of other big leaguers. Supposedly, it was the last time Aaron ever played in an organized game. Hank hit 2 homers that day. From a fan and player reaction, you would have thought he hit number 715. It's possibly the coolest sports moment I've ever witnessed in person.

It never crossed my mind that Hank Aaron could die. He was just one of those immortal heroes I looked up to as a kid.

Hank took the vaccine. It made him sick and he died. No vaccine, he?s still with us today. It?s a chance he took to lead by example and paid for it with his life. Sad...
