This is where analytics hurts baseball coaches sometimes. I'm sure Ole Miss doesn't hit LHP as well. Van Horn went with that. But pitchers also have routines and roles which is what a LOT of analytics casual fans don't understand. And when you take a pitcher out of his role it can mess them up. The guy that Arkansas started could have been very valuable for them out of the pen- and a LOT more effective.
What Van Horn did would be like a Yankees manager seeing a team that on paper doesn't hit Mariano Rivera well and so he starts Rivera.
