Good thing the game isn't starting at 1. If it did it would be delayed and would be under a delay for a long time. Severe t storm warning right now for areas between Starkville and Columbus.
Could be a very rainy and long afternoon.
The radar shows the storms just east of Starkville, and they're moving pretty much north to south. Hopefully they'll pass on by and the only effect will be some light rain and cooler temps. A lot can develop in the next 3 hours though.
Storms now forming north of town. These will more than likely impact the Starkville area. If you're at the stadium expect thunderstorm conditions shortly. Severe weather still remains possible.
No way it starts on time. In parking lot waiting it out big storm close and moving on top of the dude from the north.
Worst is going west of the stadium. Not sure what the lightning protocols are.
Announcers last night at Tennessee game said 8 miles. But it's looking a lot better in Starkville - light rain now with the storms to the west and moving farther away. Start time delay might not be all that long.
