Ross Dellenger confirms.
Seeing it come across now. Did not expect us to do it before the season ended.
This should shut the Selmon sucks crowd up for a couple of weeks until he hasn't moved fast enough in hiring someone.
Was coming to post this now too.
Let's Go!! Do work, Selmon!
Keenum and Selmon are LEGENDS! They DO love the program and the fans!
Like I said yesterday? it was gonna take a day to get everything in order. This timing early Monday is exactly what I suspected.
In the words of Ranch Wilder, “It’s About Time”
Selmon must believe in not working on the Sabbath.
Winningest HC in Mississippi State history back on the sidelines for the last two. It’s Knox time
Who will be interim?
Knox. Time to push to 3-0, Greg!
Well good, now lets just get on with it and make the correct hire. Like I've said earlier this might be the most important hire in the history of the program. The current situation in the P5 is so volatile we absolutely have to nail this hire.
I hear Lane Kiffin will walk across the field to the home sideline and where he will coach for the next 15 years.
Interesting that BOTH coaches from the last game were fired within 48 hours of the final buzzer.
Everybody update their flight tracker apps.
I wish him the best of luck and hope he gets another DC position. He is a really a great guy, but was elevated into a position during a rough time when he wasn't ready. Not his fault. I don't blame him at all for failing in his 1st year as a HC. He might be a good HC one day down the road and I hope that comes true
Just here to remind everyone, Arnett is a great guy that has worked through a terrible time following Leach?s death. No need to run him down. It just wasn?t his time to be HC. It was a tough situation and we can move on without the vitriol.
Thank you Zac Selmon.
Memphis sports radio discussing it and said most people recognize Arnett was essentially an interim coach without the "interim" label.
Well sure. If it worked out, it would have been great. Good luck Arnett. I wish we could keep him as strickly a DC, but I doubt that would be possible.
It was absolutely necessary for Arnett to go, for the future of the program.
That said, he has received life-changing wealth and experience from this adventure and that probably helps.
I expect him to land somewhere, do excellent DC work, rise through the ranks, become a head coach elsewhere, come to Starkville, and beat us. Because that's the tradition.
I hope Arnette will be able to speak freely about what restrictions were put on him, if any, and by who, in order for him to get the job. I just find it hard to believe he would have changed the offense like he did after we won 9 games in 2022, with most players coming back, if he had a choice. But what do I know ?
It had to be done. Glad we didn't wait.
I hope Zac finds his MOJO once he's away from this situation.
Good luck to him in the future.
I hope we are firing all the other influencers in the building also, that pushed for all this 180 in one offseason
Are Barbay and Brock even employable after this?
I want to see ZA land on his feet and become a great DC again. Somewhere far away where we don't have to go against his D
