Obviously if he is let go, they will release a statement, but if they are officially keeping him will they release a statement? Or is no news our AD's way of saying he will be back?
I'd prefer to know one way or the other so we can at least turn our attention to football.
He's staying. So we can all move on (other than the pitching coach search).

They are not going to make an announcement saying an unpopular coach is staying. The announcement would get completely drug in the comments and the response would not be in any way positive.

New PC will be announced shortly or at least "my source" says it's rumored. If so his resume looks good.
If they do make the wrong decision and retain him, I wouldn't recommend wording an announcement something like "We've decided not to fire him after all!" but instead announce that his contract is extended and we look forward to success in the future.
(Though don't add in buyout for the extra year.)

I'm excited if we pull it off. He's viewed as an elite developer across baseball. He's led the Big 12 in Ks the last 3 seasons. And while the ERA is up and down, none of those are awful. If our ERA is 5.19 this year, we're likely in a regional.Quote:

Would we make a regional with him? Probably. Would we have an elite staff? Probably not. At least not more than 1/7 seasons. I think he would be a decent hire, much better than Foxhall, comes from a good baseball program. I think he would also have the title of "assistant HC" whatever that means except more money, LOL.
