This is not exactly an auspicious start to game 3.
Bunt single, 3 straight walks, nobody out. WTH??
Absolutely pitiful start. Not to mention they stole second and third and it WASNT CLOSE. And that?s with Highfill back there.
Is it the cold that is freaking our pitchers out? Not that that's any excuse, just trying to come up with an explanation. A bunch of pitchers this series have struggled relative to their usual.
4 straight walks
?This is not last year?
Take Alford out the game. He is not ready for prime time.
Get him out of there/ Thats his second bad throw.
Clown show like no other
Also I don?t want to hear anymore of the talk about how it?s ?hard to play at home because it?s a lot of pressure to play in front of our fans?. We aren?t competitive in front of 120 people against a mediocre team.
Is it feasible for this baseball team to have a reverse perfect season in the league?
Note that if not for the horrendous fielding error, we would have gotten out of the inning only down 2 rather than a seemingly-insurmountable 4, even with the pitching meltdown.
4 runs on one hit (a bunt single). 9 come to the plate. Geez.
Ummm. Any word on Hancock??
Clark with the stand up triple. Good start, still a LOT of game left
At least Clark is trying.
I'm just tired of seeing everyone else's 3B make routine/incredible plays while ours either kicks the ball all over the place or throws it into the opposing bullpen
Clark scores on the passed ball. 4-1 no outs in the top of the second
The SEC should require Kentucky and Missouri to play their first 2 SEC series on the road. Not that it really would have helped us (nor that the SEC should make special rules to help us anyway), but it just seems like a sound policy.
If nothing else, it's a bad look for the conference to have a stadium this empty.
Ledbetter makes the catch, but comes up limping.
Great catch by Ledbetter. Hope he ain't banged up.
Great catch by Ledbetter. He's struggling at the plate though. I can't remember the last time he's had a meaningful hit.
What a catch by Ledbetter. He hasn't given up yet.
