The ?woke? talk about the WBB team stems from NMP making some social media posts endorsing Biden in the fall and several of the players leading a BLM event on campus.
Your mileage may vary on that kind of stuff, I would imagine most of our fans were not thrilled about it, but it really became a point of criticism when they started losing game after game. I think there was more to it than that, but that is where many wanted to assign blame.
I love the woke culture, personally. It brings truth to light. It is also somewhat bullshit. 40% truth and 60% perceived bullshit.
