and MSU ex-coaches? They are gone. Let them go. As for the ones that left on their own, I hope they do well. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with having coaches that got hired away from here doing well. It actually helps us in the long run. Y'all are whining about the wrong ones. The ones we DON'T want to do well are the ones we ran off. That is speaking from an absolute MSU perspective.
MSU fans have loooooooong memories and love to be miserable in general.
What other fan base in the SEC would remember "Tech and 10" over 30 years later?
Personally I don't really care about Dan Mullen as far as what happens. He has basically proven to be who I thought he was as a head coach and I've been saying for years that he was ultimately going to go to the NFL which may be a good fit for him since he won't have to recruit.
Every fan base is like that.

It really doesn't help us in the long run for head coaches to leave here and be successful. I always thought Nutt was a good coach and wasn't happy that he ended up at Ole Miss. He was basically a less consistent Dan Mullen. Had Arkansas above where they probably "belonged" on average, averaging 3rd in the west over his tenure (when I'd say back then they probably "belonged" at fourth behind Bama/LSU and Auburn).Quote:

I didn't think it was all that bad. It was at Halloween. Mullen is a pretty smart guy but also a bit of a stuffed shirt, so his jokes don't necessarily go over too well since it's outside his normal actions. Intellectuals also think things are funny when they're not, at least to most of us. Leach is also bright, but it would have been funnier if he'd done it since he's known for his wit.Quote:
