Twitter stadium poll

State has been leading this poll for the last 24 hours by about 6-7 percent. In the last hour OM has gained like 8,000 votes to take a lead. Any of you smart guys know a way to combat this? Can we throw a bot on that poll to get those votes back? All of the OM official twitter accounts have been promoting this poll while State's hasn't even acknowledged it. Something fishy is going on when you've been losing for 24 hours and then get thousands of votes in ONE random HOUR after voting has slowed down since yesterday. Anything we can do? I know Arkansas had the lead for most of the time against them and then somehow OM found a way to get thousands of votes in a short period of time to win.

Sounds like an OM person hacked the poll.

They did the same in the Arkansas poll

There was about an 8,000 jump in total votes and basically swapped from State being up 53% to OM being up about 52%. Just checked again and since I first posted this, State has now taken a slight edge at 50.5%. This is crazy

Not surprising they feel the need to cheat on a meaningless twitter poll. Perception is everything to them.

Still up 52.4 to 47.6 when I look. Maybe they fixed it.

They probably used Twitter bots.

Get Dak on the phone and have his followers vote for the Dude. That should offset Leann touhy’s followers.

Hell it's just a fan vote. We know the Dude is the best college baseball stadium in the world. Swazye field is probably about the 4th or 5th best in the SEC. I am not a twit, but my wife has been voting for the Dude all the way through the process and she is a Auburn Grad (but she pulls for the good guys, because she loves me and is a huge fan of our basketball girls)

They're doing it again, but slower. At 70,000 total votes it was State 53.x%, OM 46.x%. Now at 73,000 votes it's State 51.2%, OM 48.8%. It's like they got all 3,000 of those votes.

As meaningless as this is, if they pull it out they'll find some kind of validation to claim having a superior park to The Dude. I've already heard enough from them about their "national championship" they just won from a similar poll. If you haven't heard about that, there was some other blog or social media account that held a fan voting poll to declare this year's baseball national champion and they of course went all in and voted and now they are claimed "champions" by whatever source this was. Pathetic, but they're gloating right now.

I wonder if the Website is putting in fake votes to drive attention to the poll.

Smells very fish when they close thousands of votes gaps in a matter of minutes.

What's odd is that the poll has 70+K votes yet the twitter account has had 12.5K followers for over a day.

You'd think more people would follow a twitter account that they voted on.

Again. Very fishy.

To take the lead means that they've made up 9% of votes over the past few hours. Simply impossible.

They had a few rounds to figure out how to game the system just to get this far or they would have lost in an earlier round. We didnt even know about this tourney until Dudy Noble had already won a couple of rounds based on national reputation. It looks like they received almost 90% of the last 7000 votes. Definitely cooking the books but not surprising.

According to research, $500 can buy about 15k votes

We're back up by 5% with 90K votes.

Odd how this poll swings so much in.

I fully expect Ole Miss bots to kick in with about an hour left

I continue to find it strange that with 90K votes, the twitter account associated with this poll has only picked up 100 follows over the past day.

How is that even possible?

This is the same group that is claiming to be this year's national champion. Bianco and all the OM official twitter accounts are promoting the hell out of this poll too. They care about this ALOT. That's why I'd love to break their hearts because they've put so much effort into this.

We wouldn't have ever been matched up as they would have lost in the 2nd round.

If you've been following this poll since it started, we were matched up with some crappy stadiums that had unbelievable scenery that made them look awesome!
