Cohenz already striking out?

I wonder if this is just a negotiation tactic?
I'll believe it when we announce someone else... What else is he supposed to say...if they are really trying to keep it under wraps till monday....
What in the world is Napier waiting on?
Does he think he's going to jump from ULL to a blue blood?
The media is basically making fun of us now
Am I supposed to believe he was interested in the OM job but not MSU when we have far more talent?
Welp, who's penn st's OC?
Posturing to keep his players engaged for the bowl game I think
Wouldn't surprise me one bit that Cohen's 17's this up royally. It took him a month too late too realize to can Joe.
Stop being bi-polar... chill dude.. don't believe everything that is said.. YOU all too well should know not to trust everything everyone says when playing the game of life decisions..
How about he's waiting to finish his record setting season at his present job... the right thing to do.
Declines right now. Let's see on Tuesday.
If this turns out to be true, I hope Napier loses 6 games next year

If this is true, call up clawson and bring him to Starkville
Damn- can we get a post from Bert??? I was told he nailed it
Do they make pine boxes in south Louisiana?
People that are presently employed in any profession are usually wise to deny interest in other jobs publicly.
Well Cohen did say this person would have a passion for HailState
Guys:
1) Mcmurphy said "source", not "Napier himself", so stop acting like Napier told an outright lie to a reporter if he does wind up here.
2) literally anything other than "I'm not taking that job" is 100% going to be read as "I am taking that job". If you asked Mullen in '14 "Hey are you looking at X job?" And he said LITERALLY ANYTHING OTHER THAN "NO", you'd immediately assume he was.
3) if he turned us down it's obviously because our offer was too low- our flirtmance has gone on way too long for him to just generally not be interested at all. That means theres time for boosters to look around, decide Napier really is worth more than the offer he turned down, and counter offer with more.
Paul Jones just made an interesting comment on Genespage.
He said that usually when a candidate comes out & says they have declined the job it means that a hire has already been made. Not usually, but most of the time.
Assuming that Paul knows more than us, I find this interesting
I?ve told y?all it was Grantham.
Supposedly he told OM and Arkansas, he wasn't interested in any other until after his bowl game. Therefore OM and Ark moved on. So..... there ya go
We're still negotiating with Napier. He wants more money.
The media is going to be wild on this hire because we're the only game in town right now.
pay him 4 mil and about 5.5 for staff and have a press conference tuesday.

Several possibilities here and only McMurphy reporting this . I doubt that Napier even made a comment concerning an offer. It could be his agent wanting to get him more money, he doesn't want any distractions for the bowl game, or the deal is already done. You offer him less than $4 million and what McMurphy said could be true.
Why isn't Les Miles being mentioned?
If we didn't have anyone lined up, with the timing of the firing, Cohen needs to go. I'll hold my fire till we see how it works out.
