Im just honestly not sure what they have to hang onto at this point. State absolutely dominated just about everything you can dominate in this State in 2018. And that has happened more years than not since Sherril came and we got out of the 1950s mindset in our athletic dept

Yeah none of them were alive the last time they even had a realistic shot at playing for a natty in any sport. The AP nor the UPI (coaches poll) never awarded them the #1 spot. Just because Better Homes and Gardens awarded them a title doesnt make it so. Sixpackspeak awarded State the NC for 1941. Its the same thing

People have gone back and used a number of the modern statistical ranking systems to re-rank teams. Sagarin is one method that has been used. It wasn't done by Sagarin himself, which why it's not on any "offical" Sagarin list.Quote:
