Texas or music city.
First of all. LSU still probably gets in NYE6 bowl. If that happens Things stay pretty much the way they were before Sat.
Can’t believe this but I am about to agree with Mstate7
I honestly don’t know how “by the book”you have to be with theses bowl invites since we got screwed I think by Usce a few years ago giving them Outback and us a Gator
So sayin that what’s best for TV and attendance ratings ( money)
Bama playoff
UGA Chick-fil-A if they don’t upset Bama and make playoff
LSU sugar
Florida Fiesta or Chick-fil-A if UGA pulls the Upset
Texas / Texas AM - Texas Bowl
Miss State / Penn state- Outback
Kentucky can battle northwestern in worse citrus bowl ever
Send Mizzu to Gator they deserve a Fla game
Send Aub to Nashville they will travel there
Send Vandy to Memphis they won’t travel no matter where
Usce locked into to Belk
That’s what’s best for business . And it’s too easy so I doubt it happens
Ole miss went to Chick-fil-A and Sugar both years having 9-3 records.
I will be shocked if LSU doesn’t get in NYE6
True they may not go rematch , but if they go buy the book when it comes to conference records then Northwestern for the Capital one is the choice. 8-1 compared to Penn State at 6-3
I’m just doing what’s best for money and TV ratings
Two of the biggest bowl rating games outside the NYE6 would be MSU vs PSU / Texas vs TAM
So if the Outback & Texas Bowl want to make some money and have excellent TV ratings I just did that for you..
I doubt LSU falls past 12 which would mean they were below 2 other 9-3 teams.
Probably UK to Citrus and then it depends on if the Outback wants us against the Big Ten or A&M.
We are not going to the Outback. The Outback only takes Bama, LSU and Auburn from the west.
It still works like that. The bowl had more say than a conference. The conference will suggest teams but it's ultimately the bowls decision
That looks more like a Memphis bashing thread than anything factual.
No. The bowl and the school have their choices but the SEC will also set a tier for whom the bowl can realistically choose. You named 3 schools that won’t be available for the Outback to select from. They won’t have Auburn as an option and a lot of things have to happen negatively to have LSU drop to them.
Texas beat Mizzou in the Texas Bowl last year. Doubt they go back. A&M will go to Gator, Mizzou and USCe will go to Belk/Music City and Auburn will get Texas.
I agree it will either be Texas or Music City and leaning toward Texas . Here is why
Kentucky will still go CapOne. LSU is also 9-3 but they have been to the Cap One a couple of times lately so they will go Outback . So that relegates us TAMU and Missouri in a similar pecking order . We have been to the gator multiple times so Texas AM will go Gator . Missouri played in Texas last year so they will go Music City which that will put us in Texas . Auburn will go Liberty and Vanderbilt to Birmingham. Belk will push hard for South Carolina
Alabama - playoff
Georgia - Sugar
Florida - Chick-fil-A
Kentucky- CapOne
LSU - Outback
Texas AM - Gator
MSU - Texas
Missouri - Music City
S Carolina - Belk
Auburn - Liberty
Vandy - Birmingham
Edited to add: Iowa State looks like a possible opponent in Texas
