I may not be as up-to-date on the NCAA case, but I have noticed that anytime you see a rebal landbearshark mention the case, it seems like it's a 100% certainty that LL lied during his interviews. What did I miss- how did they ALL lock in step with such confidence? I don't believe it, but I am curious as to why they are all so sure.

Evidently the story 18 players told the NCAA was that they got free stuff from rebel rags. The details are the issue.
18 recruits stated that they got what they wanted, and took it up front, the people at rebel rags removed tags and sensors (theft sensors) from items. Rebel Rags now claims that not true and that their products do not have sensors.
Dear Bear lurkers. And Yanex. Go ask any of your players to recall specifics from a recruiting trip 2 or 3 years ago. Then ask them again in a few months. And again a few months later. Bet you get 3 variations of the same story. Details will be mixed up, but the same major part is the same. 17 and 18 year old kids who are being recruited and courted, (no pun intended to your escort service), by D1 schools are not thinking clearly. They are full of themselves. They don't process memories in logical orders. They fill in the details with what they think happened or mix it up from another instance.
Eye witness testimony in court is always jacked up if you have several people witness the same event, say for instance, a car wreck. Everyone would say the car wrecked. That's the big event. They would all probably even be able to tell you if it was a single car crash or a 20 car pile up. Big detail. Talk to them 3 times and you'd probably get 3 different answers on what color the cars were. What order who hit who in. How many trucks were involved. What was written on the side of the truck. Small details. And if they had seen 2 wrecks within a few days of each other and the other had a zebra striped truck involved, the next time they tell the story there may be a zebra striped truck in the first wreck. With writing on the side. Small details that get mixed up.
Take off the flimflam glasses. Leo was recruited by the big boys. Let's assume he likely got free memorabilia at multiple school specific stores, including yours. The changes in his story is easily attributable to mixing up the details. But he would probably remember the name if asked. I may concede that he and Kobe made it up and colluded if it weren't for good ole Step daddy Miller. The NCAA isnt interested if LL thought he remembered security tags when none existed. They proved a system was in place to provide PSA with impermissible gifts from RR.
Read my previous post. This isn't LL's fault. It was a series of unfortunate events. Nothing has changed my theory of how the wheels fell off and got you guys into this position. It's your own fault. Sorry not sorry.
Because the NOA said his testimony caused the NCAA to find them guilty of a new Level ! violation. One that can and will add to their penalties. Worse, they didnt even get the players. If they dont take the stance that he lied, they are guilty of something far worse than a Level 1 violation. They are guilty of being out recruited by MSU and being made fools of at a game they think they are great at. I think this is about pride as much as it is about the fear of the penalties.Quote:

They are extreemly cocksure about the idea that Leo revealed that an MSU booster paid him. THat he admitted this in the interview with the NCAA. Even if it's true, I dont see Leo doing this. I tend to think the facts we accept are more rational than the conclusions they are drawing.

As far as the RR lawsuit, Leo will be a five year NFL vet by the time he's ever deposed for that, if it ever happens. It's far more likely that it gets thrown out.

Immunity or not, a student athlete can not refuse an interview. Coaches, staff, administration, and student athletes are required by NCAA procedure to talk to enforcement. All immunity is for us to make sure they get the all of the truth. But you can not refuse to talk or you will be suspended or show caused.Quote:

They say he lied because it is the best defense they can come up with and his testimony is damning if true at all. The facts are that it matters none at all is UM folks believe it, only that the NCAA believes what he said, and the NCAA believes him.
I figure his testimony is backed up by other evidence that they have and all will be revealed at some point, when the NCAA hammer falls.
Look toward October when the COI occurs and then to November when their world crumbles.
