I wanna see us put up 10 runs.
Better learn to hit junk, bc we won't see a fastball today after yesterday's display
It's not like that's a secret though. Every baseball team wants to see fastballs. There are not many people in the world who are great off speed hitters. The good ones don't miss the fastball when they get it.
Trust me the offensive approach he is teaching is the least of our concerns. See LSU's numbers once he joined the staff. I can also guarantee you that "hit fastballs" is every teams approach in the country. Until you get behind in the count you should be hunting fastballs ready to destroy it. It's not rocket science
Wow, so you think Cannizaro made it all the way through the coaching ranks and landed this job with a hitting philosophy that complete disregards hitting the breaking ball?
If Mullen says "we want to establish the run game," does that mean we aren't going to throw the ball? Wanting to hit fastballs but adjusting to breaking balls is as elementary of a principle in baseball as establishing the run is in football
Got the starting lineup yet?
First game over?
First pitch 4:35
Cody Brown and Poole in lineup
OM bout to take first 2 from #10 east Carolina
I hope Gordon looks better than he did last night.
I like seeing Cody in there today. AC clearly sees a 5 hole hitter in Elih, so we'll see what happens. If we struggle against these guys and their #3 starter, I'll be surprised
I want rooker 3rd bc I want him to get the extra AB. Just think if he was 3rd last night, he gets the final AB. The 3-spot had 2 on and 3 on the last 2 ABs last night.
About brown... he's a career .799 ops in 345 ABs. Gridley is a career .663 OPS in 398 ABs. Brown has 31 extra base hits in his career... gridley has 17 in more ABs
Anxious to see what Plumlee looks like on the hill
Baseball threads are beyond impossible to read. Hell, football threads after losing to south Alabama are better. It's painful.
So how good is plumlee?
Groundout, 1 away.
Any chance we see Ashcraft this wknd?
Basehit. 1 on 1 out for the Leathernecks
Fielders choice fielded by Cody Brown on the hit & run...2 down, man on 2nd
Plumlee pitched their cleanup hitter well. Atta boy
