Vivians has been pulled and yelled at by Schaefer for poor defense. So this is already getting interesting in Coleman Coliseum.
Hate to say it, but Vivians has look sort of lacadaisical more than once this year.
And the crowd is rather scarce in Tuscaloosa tonight. You'd think they'd want to watch one of the top teams in the nation .... ;)
Women's basketball is an afterthought in Tuscaloosa. Before this year, they played in Foster Auditorium, which was the previous gymnasium. Gymnastics has higher standing than Women's Basketball there.Quote:

Already 7 turnovers for MSU. We average 9 turnovers a game.
I flipped over and watched SC a few minutes. They look pretty good. We'll have our hands full this weekend.
Been a ROUGH quarter for us. Schaefer and the rest of the coaching staff is going to have a field day at halftime on the players. Emotionally drained from Monday, and looking ahead to Sunday. They'll get their minds straight.
Very poor first half by the Bulldogs. Careless with the ball, you can tell they're emotionally drained. You also have to wonder whether the streak is getting to them. That weight can get heavy after a while.
Schaefer wasn't pleased with the level of play ....

Really poor played first half by the Bulldogs. You can certainly tell that Vic is pissed off right now with that halftime interview on SECN. He's about to lay into them in the locker room, and you may see a pissed off and determined team in the second half. At least I hope so.
So far it's been a stereotypical women's basketball game. That's why most don't like to watch them. Alabama's not very good and we should be ahead by about 40 right now.
We also just got done playing our rival and will play the #5 team in the country on Sunday. Trap game in every sense of the word.Quote:

They have been asking all the coaches what there best memory of Pat Summit was. This due to the "We Back Pat" week. I thought CVS had the best answer.
He said something to the fact that they were beating TN 38-28 at the half. They were in there locker room hooping it up and could here Pat screaming at her girls. They came out in the 2nd half with a 30-1 run and beat the crap out of them. Most of all the other answers were the, she was nice, she was firey, she was a truly good person and such. I believe CVS gave the best/honest answer for a memory.
