Is UConn better? Prob so but listen when I tell u this team could beat them if UConn slipped up at all.
Could, yes. But it's about a 10% chance, at best.
I think uconn would have to slip a good bit. We've got talent, but they have more. We have good coaching, but they have better. We do have a little more experience though
Easy Romeo
We would have to be on shooting and not turn the ball over but it's possible if they have an off night.
On a neutral court with nobody watching ... maybe so. You gotta take the intangibles into account ... that's how you win basketball pools.
Taking UConn WBB down may even be more intimidating than taking Bammer down in football.
ETA: As far as "handling the moment" that is.
Beating UConn is a more formidable task than beating Bama in my opinion. UConn has won the last four national championships. Bama has won one in the last four years (and lost to Ole Miss twice). UConn has been on another level than anyone.
It is pretty improbable but I would love to be the one to break that streak and be a part of history.
My point exactly. Sorta like beating UCLA under Wooden. That was done once or twice ... but in the curent sports climate of today the moment would be overwhelmingly suffocating probably for a team from Starkville.
Not saying that can't be done but that gets the odds down there to probably << 1% chance.
UConnot be serious, they would steamroll our asses by 50 again! I want no part of UConn ever. Preacher you're off your meds we have exactly 0% chance of beating UConn.

UConn is not really our concern. The game on the 23rd at SC is huge. We are going to have to win that game or beat them in the SEC tournament (which is in Greenville, SC) to get a 1 seed. We may need to win them both, and obviously not get upset by a low rpi team.
.05% chance to beat uconn
So if we somehow face Uconn in the NC game, we don't have a chance? Just might as well not show up. Get the 17 out a here.
It's possible but it would take a perfect game. Uconn never has competition.
Any team can beat any another team on any given night. It just depends on how that round ball bounces.
No. Just no. Not any given team. This is not Villanova and Georgetown of 85, when Villanova had to throw a perfect game(and did basically shooting 70%) the gap is even greater. Can they be beat this year? Sure it's possible. But there are only a couple of teams that would have to be perfect and them off their game.
After last season's loss to UConn, our women's team has had them as a target for this entire season. UConn is very strong, but not unbeatable this season. MSU is the strongest they have ever been in the history of MSU women's basketball. UConn can be beat.
Eh anybody can be beat if they have an off day. Our girls got to see up close what a Championship basketball team looks like and the effort they play with. A blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. That is why you play the game.
Would I rather us play somebody else for the NC absolutely, but if our girls make it there and have to play UCONN I'm not going to complain. That would be one heck of an accomplishment and then you just got to pray everything goes your way.
UConn would dominate us even on an off night for them. We're good, but we're not in the same universe as UConn.
Yea they NEVER have anyone come close....

Any men's team can be beat not UConn women by our team. Nervousness and fear paralyzes our team vs them. It is what it is. That being said our women can beat any other team in the country not named UConn. We can win a Natty if we just get lucky and have UConn upset by someone else.
Have to push for that #2 overall seed so we don't see them until the championship. Then we go all Jimmy V on them!

No one person or team is unbeatable. Sooner or later, there is always someone better. Why not our girls?
