Agreed, sight unseen
I heard Bo talking about their OL a few days ago and he said they were good. I didn't think this good.
I'm just glad we didn't do something dumb like schedule them. There's been a lot of discussion about scheduling harder games, and it might be OK if it was Ohio State or similar ... it's mostly a win-win. But to lose to a team in the Sun Belt is bad all around.
I'd like to have their OL coach and, if Sirmon leaves or doesn't work out, their DC.
Maybe, maybe not. This is UT after all. Thy don't look like the hype.
I think we've had their kicker. **
WTH were they doing by not calling TO
No gaping holes in OT, or for almost all of the rest of the game.
They scored more vs a top 10 team than we did vs Bama
They are a lower level team. Our skill people are much better than theirs
App State coach totally blew that game at the end of regulation....
Fun fact. The USA Today (not coaches poll) has App State ranked at 43 and MSU at 54. Although they also have USM at 45
Not impressed. They were as effective as they were for much of the game because they employ a ton of cut blocks. Primarily because it's part of the offense they run, but it's also a good way to go about playing a team you know you don't have a prayer to stop straight up. You can't properly prepare for a team that does that unless you want to lay your own DL up. Once TN figured it out, Appy State was done on offense.
