Are we expecting him to be a player next season?
I've wondered this too. He seems to be the forgotten man. I think he was in the rotation early in the year but fell out. From what I understand he's got great hands. I wonder if his speed was affected by his knee injury.
Seems like there will be plenty of opportunity for him next year with Morrow and Bear gone to get more in the mix, looking forward to seeing that.
did something happen to him?
Just hard to bust that 2 deep with Bear, Morrow, Gray, & Brown all ahead of him. He'll have his shot starting in spring practice.
AJ is a toss up at this point.
I expect us to get AJ. But I am not ready to pencil him in as a day one starter pike some have. Jesse and Fred are a reason why.
Have some faith.

Leo Lewis rarely tweeted anything positive about MSU last year, yet we lead pretty much all along behind the scenes. Our fans are so quick to throw in the towel. We're fine with AJ.
I'm hoping we are setting up for a big NSD party. I'm hoping we are setting it up so we get some big positive recruiting spin in the media. But I have no inside knowledge on this. Maybe some that does can address this hope of mine...because this thread has me a little worried now about AJ.
I've only been longtime family friends with one of the kids and his decision maker, but I've stayed away lately, because last I was told was pretty concrete terms.
You must spread some reputation around before giving it to Ifyouonlyknew

This is the only reason he would start. Fred Brown is the Rodney Dangerfield of our WR corps. He doesn't get the hype of Bear, Ross, and Gray but he's quietly one of our most consistent, productive players. He had more TDs this season than Ross, for crying out loud. AJ may be the second coming of Jerry Rice, but there's no way as a true freshman he's better than the 3 guys ahead of him. Plus we all know how Mullen does things. Even *if* AJ is one of the best 3, the experienced guys will start.
and we havent had a true freshman start since 2009.
not saying Freshmen wont get rewarded- but older guys will always get the 1st shot. As they should. Could AJ start? Absolutely. Isit likely? Hell no it isnt because of who he would have to beat out. Beating out Gray who has been here a season and 2 Springs is gonna be hard for him to do by the 1st Saturday of Sept
