Saw tweet from Bulldog recruiting about not offering Korey Banks a 4* db. I don't go all in on recruiting so anybody with info on why weve not offered ? Think it said he was a MSU legacy kid

I am sure the coaches know more than we do and have a reason. I have wondered this as well.
I like him but he is a composite mid 3 star. We are tight at the position and waiting on Knott. Hard to see who we would drop for him although I do like him and would have probably offered.
He played WR this year & that's what most are recruiting him at. He's 5'11" 6' & we don't need another slot guy. We have Ross, Myles, Dear, & Mixon. He's committed to UNC but people are noticing him now because he got a couple late SEC offers.
Bama offered 2 days ago. Wow
also, for those hoping for Willie Allen, he's not even going to visit us. LSU bound most likely.
So for those keeping score, 4 stars Sullivan, Allen, and Broussard are all off the board. Only 4 star potential signees are AJ Brown, Knott, Simmons & Lashley. I don't count Davis since he is headed to Juco. Right now, I think we get Lashley and I'm somewhat optimistic on AJ. I think we don't get Simmons or Knott. That's going to put us around 35-40 on Scout. Maybe 30 or so on the composite.
Or maybe Knott. Either way, a good sign.
Yancy say Raekwon a definite sign and place. That tells me they are completely out and probably Bama also. Anytime Yancy say somebody won't make it that's code for he's going to MSU.
Simmons, Brown, Kobe, Knott, Raekwon, Lashley, and Nelson makes this a HR class. i know we won't get everyone but if we even come close it's a huge class.
I disagree on Kobe.. Kid played BOTH sides on the ball for a 6A team.. Get him focused on one position he will be very good. Simmons is college ready now tho..
And I don't give a shit about * at times.. Offers are better factor... If there is a 3* with a number of power 5 offers kid can play.. Couch is one of those...
Well everyone here assumes our class is subpar now. Our coaches must like our current commitments, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. In '10 and '11, we had classes in the 30s, but those classes led to a #1 ranking and orange bowl... Who knows how good this class can be?
Obviously, there are always unknowns in recruiting. We know that 4 star and 5 star success rate is higher than 2 and 3 star success rate. It's why the national champs and SEC champs are almost always the highest rated recruiting classes.
When you talk about a 3 star, you have to dig a little behind the rating. Yes, Bear was a 3 star. But he was also Mr. Basketball in the state of AL. He was 6'5 and only played football for 1 year. He also was someone AU wanted badly. So, he was an excellent prospect despite his 3 star rating. Same could be said for Dak. LSU came in with the late offer. If LSU offers you, you are a good prospect. He had the TCU offer as well.
In this class, I'm struggling to see that 3 star that I get really pumped about. My 2 favorites would probably be Cam Dantzler and Spencer. I like Porter's potential too, but he's heading to Juco.
Dakota Prescott was a 3*........
see Egg Bowl...since that game, everyone has come to the realization that stars do in fact matter.*
