whose getting his scholarship next year? cause it's obvious he gone.
How you figure?
He was injured in practice when another player undercut him on a drive to the basket...allegedly on purpose. Never heard anything regarding a fight. I do know he's been medically cleared since around the Vandy game and unhappy with no playing time.
I dont think he deserves playing time. I like what we got going right now
I'd at least like to see if he can not be a turnover machine like some on the team.
I think he could provide another deep threat if given a chance.
I'd rather him than Bloodman get Bloodman's minutes. Bloodman is a lost cause. Atleast let Dunlap chuck up 4-5 threes a game. Committ to it now and by SEC tourney time he may have calmed his nerves and will finally start making them. If we can get him, Fred and Daniels to all be hot we can beat anyone in the SEC except Kentucky. Our size, depth and athleticism is top half SEC. Our offense is the major hurdle. This last game we got a bunch of dunks from Roq and Fred and we shot FTs very well.
Dunlap is a 2 guard.. Not a 1 . A 2.
If he is ready to play and can help us down the road he will play.. And it will be at the 2...
And when and if he does either IJ or Bloodman will be at the point..
No one has ever said that Sword is better or worse than Bloodman at the point .
Why can't you just enjoy the win Sat. Instead of trying to find anything that points to dislike in our head coach..
We get it. You don't want him here.. Few do...
And like 34 said is not like Dunlap lit it up when he played.. Maybe he isnt ready to play yet. He played when Sword and IJ had their health issues...
I'm sure if we had enough faith in Dunlap to give us positive minutes he would play...
If that is the case then I'm fine with that. It's just that I've heard some rumblings from some close to the situation that there is more to this situation than him just not being good enough to play now.
Bloodman is not very good- but he is still better than Dunlap right now. He has to rest Ready
Stupid to go back and forth with you..
You said give Dunlap Bloodmans minutes..
IJ can't play 40 minutes..
Sword isn't going to play point.. And if he has too doesn't mean Dunlap should get minutes..
This all started with you saying give Bloodmans minutes to Dunlap.
C34 tried to explain that Dunlap can't play the 1.
Bloodman has to give us a few minutes every game.. Like it or not. No one says he needs to play more than 10..
Hell I want IJ in there as much as possible. He should play 30-35 every game unless foul trouble..
We just can't have both Ware and Sword out of the game when Bloodman is in ...
I thought Dunlap would be that outside threat this year as well but I'm not against him not playing again this year. He would definitely be a huge key for us next season, another off-season of strength and conditioning would do wonders.
Craig averages 2.3 assists and 3.2 turnovers over his career. He also is 0 threat from deep. That would be great to see at the top of the key against a 2-3 zone.Yeah, let's make him a primary handler. Bloodman is at the very least a solid defensive PG for ten minutes a night. Dunlap hasn't proven to be any better offensively. And he's proven to be worse defensively.
He's shooting 32% from 3 on the year and made 5/7 against OM, 1/2 against LSU. I wouldn't call him a 3 point specialist just yet, but he's developed into a perfectly decent shooter. Whatever reasons exist for him not to play the point, lack of deep threat isn't one of them right now.
Sword has actually started to look decent from 3 the last 2 weeks. Hope it continues
He's made like 40 in his three year career. Theres no denying he's showing good signs, but whether that is a flash in the pan or a legit improvement with his health has yet to be seen. As of what we have seen, he isn't a legit threat. And he's not a good enough passer to play 1. That's a bigger issue for putting someone at the one. He's a prototypical slashing 2. Dunlap is an undersized shooting 2 who lacks the ball skills to play the point.
