With the 1st pick in the 2014 MLB First-year player draft, the Houston Astros select LHP Brady Aiken from Cathedral Catholic HS (CA).
The Miami Marlins are now on the clock.
With the 2nd pick in the 2014 MLB First-year player draft, the Miami Marlins select RHP Tyler Kolek from Shepherd HS (TX)
The Chicago White Sox are now on the clock.

Vallot projected as top 4 catcher. It would be a miracle if we get him on campus!

I like the cubs focus on hitting. When the game is skewed so heavily in towards 1 side, it makes the other that much more valuable. Pitching is great, but a savvy franchise can find SPs that can put up a 3.25-3.75 era and 6-7K/9IP over 180+ IP all over the place. But finding .300+ hitters with pop is much harder in today's game. Cubs have the best bunch of MiLB bats in the league and only getting stronger.
